Your post is first presented on City Information Center and then will also be presented on city-specific information center topics based on your post tags.

The three most recent posts are presented on each city-specific information center topic based on post tags.

Be nice. Try to be helpful with your posts and comments.

Be creative. The best blogs mix interests, products, services, activities, business, hobbies and causes. Try to post about things you and others find useful, inspiring or entertaining.

Switch it up. Try to post on a variety of topics.

Keep it smooth. The best publishers use an editorial calendar to post on a consistent basis. Try to post on average no more than 3 times per week.

Give credit. If you blog about an item you found somewhere, it's nice to credit your fellow publishers by linking back to the original spot.

Q. After creating an account how do I get started?

You can get started by first updating your profile and then posting a few of your highlights.

Q. What are the selected highlights on each city-specific information center topic?

Each city-specific information center topic has 1-10 selected highlights. Publishers working with City Information Center select these highlights and often select members of City Information Center, but there is no guarantee to any member that you will be selected in these highlights.

Q. Can I buy a spot on a city-specific information center?

Yes this is an optional publishing service. City Publishing Members can buy spots on city-specific information center topics. The featured choices on city-specific information center topics are designed with this purpose in mind; to enable members to further highlight and promote people, companies, organizations and activities in a city.

After signing up for the City Publishing Membership your account will be reviewed and verified. See account verification guidelines below. Once your account is verified you will then have the option to buy the Choice Membership or the Spotlight Membership where you can get featured spots on city-specific information center topics.

The optional Choice Publishing Membership is $300 per year and your featured spots are presented on five topics* on a city-specific information center. Publishers working with City Information Center select these five topics and create your Choice featured spots for you based on your product and service.

The optional Spotlight Publishing Membership is $1,500 per year and your featured spots are presented on all topics* on a city-specific information center. Publishers working with City Information Center create your Spotlight featured spots for you based on your product and service.

*The city-specific information center homepages are not part of Choice and Spotlight Publishing. However, any member can post their city highlights and get them displayed on a city-specific information center homepage based on post tags.

Choice Publishing and Spotlight Publishing are optional publishing services and availability is on a first-come, first choice basis.

Account verification guidelines for the optional Choice and Spotlight Publishing Memberships are listed below. The most common reasons we may not offer an account the Choice Membership or the Spotlight Membership include:

The account profile has not been completed and does not have a link leading to a website

The website content is not on-topic for City Information Center

The website has not been updated recently or on a regular basis

The account has no posted highlights

The featured publishing spots have already been filled.
